Make a field dependent on a text field

It is possible to make a question dependent on a text field in the following way:

1. Create a multi line text field,
2. Create a hidden calculation field and insert the following template
3. Make the next question dependent on the shown value ‘1’.

The calculation checks if the text field is filled with letters (a-z, A-Z).
