Metabolic syndrome (ATP III criteria)

This calculation will automatically calculate the ATPIII criteria for metabolic syndrome:
●Abdominal obesity, defined as a waist circumference ≥102 cm (40 in) in men and ≥88 cm (35 in) in women
●Serum triglycerides ≥ (1.7 mmol/L) or drug treatment for elevated triglycerides
●Serum high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol < (1 mmol/L) in men and 30 instead. This can however lead to false positives in individuals with a high BMI based on a large muscle mass.
Note 2: calculation output is:
1 = patient has metabolic syndrome
0 = patient does not have metabolic syndrome

Systolic bloodpressure in mmHg

PE_diast_RR

Diastolic bloodpressure in mmHg

med_RR

Use of blood pressure lowering drugs (1 = yes, 0 = no)

Fasting plasma glucose mmol/L
